8 GB - what's the RAM?

Everywhere I see says it has 8 GB storage, I assume that's flash memory? What does it have for system RAM, anybody know? Or is the flash fast enough that it just uses that instead?

It's 8 GB memory, but only 7.4 GB or something available, which says to me that some of the Flash is being used for system. Or maybe firmware?

As long as they don't do the hokey memcache mess they used for Treos. Last thing I want to see is my Pre crashing and rebooting because of errant apps that don't play well with memory, like Treos do.
